The objectives of our work with the Esme Fairbairn Foundation are as follows:

Work with local groups and landowner’s to design and plant thirty hectares of new native woodland equivalent to 60,000 trees.

Enlarge or link through planting and
/or fencing to allow natural regeneration eight existing woodlands. Three of these to be ancient semi natural woodlands.

Plant on publicly accessible land a “Celebration Woodland “established through donations from people within the district commemorating a special event, such as the birth of a child or a birthday of friend or relative

Develop planting schemes in the grounds of six local business’s
Include five Forestry Commission “Woodland Grant Schemes” of one hectare or over in the two year period

Carry out three Forestry Commission “Woodland Improvement Grant” schemes reintroducing management to existing woodland

Run eight training days in woodland management skills as public events

Work with thirty new community groups, schools and business’s in carrying out the planting schemes

Run 110 practical volunteer days that involve people with disabilities working with able bodied volunteers

Work with a minimum of sixty young people (14-19 year olds / minimum twenty hours per person)
