| In
order to receive Landfill Tax money from Landfill Operators (LO's),
BEAT has registered with Entrust as an Environmental Body (EB). EB's
do not have to be registered charities. However, any 'surplus' or
'reserve' should be used to further an EB's goals and objectives.
They are not to be used to pay dividends or other rewards.
EB's are not controlled
directly or indirectly by the local authority or a landfill operator
registered for landfill tax.
Donations can only support
initiatitves which fall within Landfill Tax Credit Scheme (LTCS)
objectives, which are:-.

objective was removed on 1st April 2003. It promoted the establishment
