Woodland-care sessions this autumn
After a bit of a summer break, we’ve got lots of fun woodland-care sessions coming up…
Stoney Ridge - Wednesdays and monthly Saturdays
Regular session caring for the amazing woods at Stoney Ridge Plantation. A secret nature haven.
Always 10am - 2:30pm. Facebook event details.
Please bring your own pack-up lunch, suitable clothing and boots (the long grass is always a bit damp!)
It’s at the top of Cottingley Cliffe Road (location map). No car parking on site - nearest layby is on Long Lane (top of Shay Lane). No easy bus stop, but the Cottingley - Shipley 678 bus is closest.
Ogden Water – first Tuesday of the month
Many people help plant thousands of trees at the popular beauty-spot and we want to make sure they all thrive.
10am-2:30pm. Starts October and the 5 Nov & 3 Dec. Facebook event details.
Please bring your own pack-up lunch. Ogden Water is just off the Halifax-Keighley Road (location map), by the Causeway Foot pub. There’s a busy car park. The 67 bus gets you from Bradford/Thornton/Denholme/Cullingworth/Keighley to Kelham, where its at 20 min walk to Ogden.
Come the winter there will be plenty of planting sessions too.
